 14th Annual Meeting Spring Lake, New Jersey 

To the Very Roots of Life-Saving Service History

New Jersey can lay claim to a partial ownership of the birth of Life-Saving Service history. The first Congressional appropriations for "surfboats, rockets and carronades" that laid the foundation for the service came in respose to New Jersey shipwrecks and the heroics of local men. The first life-saving stations were built, in fact, in New Jersey. Join us for the annual meeting, and we'll take you right to the doorstep!

From September 29-October 2, 2010, USLSSHA will descend on Spring Lake, New Jersey, for the 14th Meeting of the organization. The preliminary itinerary follows:

11 am to 5 pm - Bus trip to USCG Station Sandy Hook, Spermaceti Cove Life-Saving Station, former Seabright and Monmouth Life-Saving Stations and Long Branch Life-Saving Stations

Saturday, October 2 -
9:00 am - Annual Meeting of the USLSSHA
10 am to 5 pm - Bus trip to New Jersey Shipwreck Museum in Wall Township and Museum of New Jersey Maritime History in Beach Haven
7:00 pm - Annual Membership Dinner

Lodging

Conference sessions will be held at InfoAge, 2201 Marconi Road, Wall Township

Hotel rooms have been reserved at Courtyard by Marriott, Monmouth Shores, Wall Township.
Alternate lodging choices include: Rodeway Inn, Wall Township; and the following bed and breakfast inns in Spring Lake: Victoria House, Spring Lake Inn, Ashling Cottage, Sandpiper Inn, Normandy Inn, Ocean House.
