To the Very Roots of Life-Saving Service History
New Jersey can lay claim to a partial ownership of the birth of Life-Saving Service history. The first Congressional appropriations for "surfboats, rockets and carronades" that laid the foundation for the service came in respose to New Jersey shipwrecks and the heroics of local men. The first life-saving stations were built, in fact, in New Jersey. Join us for the annual meeting, and we'll take you right to the doorstep!
